A Victorian landlord has been slammed on social media after gloating that a troublesome tenant he evicted was reduced to living in her car.
The landlord, David, shared a photo on the Landlords Victoria Facebook page last week showing an old Nissan Skyline parked in what appears to be a sports ground car park, with a tarp draped over the windows for privacy and held in place by rocks.
The homeowner said the car belonged to his former tenant, and that her dire living situation was 'karma' for all the money it had cost him to evict her.
'Took me almost three years to get this person out of my rental,' David wrote.
'It seems she had trouble finding a new place to live.
'I am thousands of dollars out of pocket in legals [sic] and lost rent not to mention the stress and frustration with VCAT.
'Looking at this karma must be real,' he said.

Many Aussies slammed the landlord, accusing him of having callous disregard for the vulnerable woman who used to live in his home
The coastal town where the car park is believed to be located has seen overnight temperatures plunge to single digits this week.
The landlord added that it 'must be bloody freezing' and his struggling former tenant was 'not [in] an enviable position'.
The post, originally shared in a private Facebook group, was reshared on X by the tenants' rights advocate Jordie van den Berg, better known as 'Purplepingers'.
Many Aussies slammed the landlord, accusing him of having callous disregard for the vulnerable woman who used to live in his home.
'This is a horrible post,' one said.
'Landlords wilfully evicting people to homelessness... then complaining how much it cost them,' another commented.
Some said the landlord isn't running a charity and should not expect to house people for free
But some X users pointed out the landlord isn't running a charity and should not expect to house people for free.
'I wouldn't want to see my tenant in that situation,' one fellow landlord said.
'But the fact is unless they pay the rent it won't be me turning them out onto the street. The bank will take the unit and they will be the ones who turn them out onto the street.'
Others were less concerned with criticising the landlord and simply wanted to assist the woman living in her car.
'Does anyone know where she is located? Would be good to get her some help,' one wrote.
Daily Mail Australia attempted to contact the landlord at his business. His wife declined to speak on the record.
